![]() I have been wearing makeup fairly religiously for the last two years or so, which is the entire time I've been at my job. So I was just curious if anyone has made a similar decision as me and what their experience was like and also is it even worth it to stop wearing face makeup and all that jazz when I'm pretty insecure about my skin? And it probably looks like I got skin problems overnight to all my friends because I used to be like, the Leonardo Davinci of covering up my acne. But also I just feel like my skin problems are just in my face (I guess they literally are haha) constantly. Acne, redness, scars, take it how it is." I feel like I really need to learn to accept the way I am currently instead of living in the future when my skin will be allegedly "better." And this boycott of face makeup has been a nice exercise for me. In a way it feels kinda freeing and more honest, like "Here's my skin world. But I made a pretty crazy decision for myself about a month ago in the name of healthy skin and that was to stop wearing foundation, concealer, and powder and to only go out with an SPF 50 BB cream (which hardly provides coverage) and any and all eye makeup. ![]() I used to believe me without foundation was like a house without, well, a foundation.
